Located in the heart of Stone Town, this hotel provides an authentic experience of Tanzania. The cozy rooms have beautiful architecture and come with basic amenities like A/C. The rooftop restaurant offers stunning views and serves a great breakfast. The friendly staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The hotel's central location allows for easy exploration of Stone Town and its attractions. One reviewer mentioned a nice garden entry, adding a touch of tranquility to the hotel.
One reviewer mentioned that there is no WiFi in the rooms, which could be seen as a drawback for some guests.

This old house is beautifully decorated and has a great roof terrace with amazing views. Located in the alleys of Stone Town, it is easy to find. The relaxed and comfortable atmosphere adds to the charm. The A/C works well, there is always bottled water, and the room is regularly sprayed for mosquitos.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming boutique hotel in Stone Town, Zanzibar. This hotel has so much character and is rich in history, as it was once the home of Sultans. The traditional-style rooms, complete with balconies, truly transport you back in time. The attention to detail is impeccable, and the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. I was especially impressed by the warm and friendly welcome from Joseph and Vicky, who were always ready to assist with any request. The hotel is conveniently located close to all the main attractions, making it easy to explore the fascinating streets of Stone Town.
I was thoroughly satisfied with my stay and couldn't find any faults.

This hotel truly captures the essence of Stone Town with its traditional style and character. The rooms, although lacking air-conditioning, have a charming balcony where you can soak up the atmosphere. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The breakfast, sourced locally, was delicious with fresh fruit that left me wanting more.
All in all, my stay at this hotel was fantastic.

We had a fantastic Easter stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, right in the heart of a historic area. The staff were incredibly friendly and always went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The rooms had a lot of character and were kept very clean. The rooftop bar and restaurant provided stunning views of the surrounding cityscape. We also enjoyed the manager's assistance in guiding us to the best local spice market, where we found affordable and fresh spices.
The inconvenience of cars and taxis not being able to directly reach the hotel due to the narrow streets. it would have been helpful if we had been informed upon check-in that we needed to settle our bill in cash, as there were no card facilities available.
